Support our Capital Campaign.
Help make our new CARES Centers a reality.
In March of 2021, the Board of Directors approved the CARES initiative. CARES (Community Awareness, Advocacy, Resources, Education and Support) is a community-based initiative to reach a wider demographic of children who are subject to neglect and lack of resources. The core approach will be implementing prevention strategies to keep children from entering and/or remaining in the child welfare system.
The four-million dollar capital campaign will invest in an expansion to our Niceville building and three future buildings. Our goal is to build and implement operations in Fort Walton Beach in 2023 with additional CARES programs being implemented in DeFuniak Springs, Crestview, Niceville and South Walton by years 2024 and 2025.

Our goal is to eliminate child abuse and neglect altogether. By educating children on methods for child safety and teaching awareness, we can prevent many cases before they occur.

CARES (Community Awareness, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support) is a community-based initiative to reach a wider demographic of children who are subject to neglect and lack of resources.
CARES aims to:
- Be the bridge to keeping children in safe and supported homes and out of the judicial child welfare system.
- Provide families with a myriad of preventive-based services including: resources to support children remaining in safe homes, parenting and child development education, job and household budgeting support, and a number of other direct services.
- Embody ECCAC’s value of preventive methods of ending childhood neglect.
