Title: Community Engagement Manager

Location: Niceville, FL

Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends required for events

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Volunteer Management:

  • See to organizing, contacting and finding volunteers for EVENTS, whether those are events put on by ECCAC or events where ECCAC is benefitting (funds)
  • Follow up before and after events with event organizer to make sure all ECCAC responsibilities have been covered
  • Manage/maintain an active volunteer database. Develop and steward meaningful relationships to enhance volunteer engagement and retention.

Event Planning:

  • Help plan/manage all events DCWAF, Chi Chi Miguel, South Walton Celebrity Golf Tournament, Toys for Tots, Golf and Gala, Key Contributor event and any events as assigned.
  • To include contacting vendors, reaching out to sponsors, coordinating event details and any other tasks that come up pertaining to events and volunteers

Community Engagement:

  • Engagement with community, i.e. Chamber of Commerce activities, civic organizations, colleges, local clubs and organizations, school district, private schools, etc.
  • Solicit and engage local businesses to donate, volunteer, advocate

Social Media Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the CEO and Marketing Assistant by helping to provided content, updates, and program highlights to support ECCAC’s social media and community engagement efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or collaborating on social media and community outreach efforts
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community engagement and volunteer coordination

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Community Engagement, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Level 2 Background Screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, in accordance with Florida law.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
