Mental Health Advocate

Employment Status: Full Time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and provide crisis intervention to child abuse victims and their families during business hours. Conduct intake interviews with non-offending family and/or caretaker
  • Provide information and assistance with referrals to appropriate mental health resources to child abuse victims and their families
  • Follow up to verify child and family have made contact with appropriate mental health resources
  • Participate in child protection team staffing’s as required
  • Participate as a mental health advocate during the child interview process
  • Assist child victims and their families in crime compensation claims
  • Maintain statistical date and submit statistical data as required per grant requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of case management and services
  • Participate in Child Advocacy Center staffing’s as required

Administrative Assistant

STATUS: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Support services to clients of the program according to the stated needs on the referral
  • Enter accurate information in the electronic document system.
  • Annual inventory of office fixtures, electronics, and incidentals purchased from contract dollars.
  • Ensure case management/family support fields are created in the electronic system upon assignment. This would include the family support module, family page, and all applicable updates at case implementation and closure.
  • Provide exceptional services to internal and external clients as well as the community to ensure positive and successful family outcomes
  • Act in an ethical manner, work with colleagues and clients with respect and will be subject to supervision of his/her activities
  • Administrative Assistant will generally perform the job in a normal office or community environment
  • Assist with overall cleanliness of common areas
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining storage areas
  • Assist in finding and engaging community resources such as daycare, housing, and utility assistance resources to help support the program case managers
  • Order office and cleaning supplies
  • Drop off resources and supplies as needed
  • Monthly data entry of program deliverables due by the 28th of the month
  • Monitoring and tracking of home visits
  • Closing the loop calls/emails to agency partners
  • Occasional assistance with ECCAC events may be required, during or outside of regular work hours.
